The dynamic and prayerful assembly of Saint Benedict Parish enthusiastically seeks a part-time Director of Music to begin on Sept. 1, 2022. Responsibilities include directing and planning regularly scheduled weekend liturgies; directing, scheduling, and rehearsing adult choirs, rehearsals, recruitment and formation of parish cantors and music volunteers; organist/pianist at weekend Masses and on Holy Days; seasonal liturgies; music for faith formation program; and for funerals and weddings.

Youth Minister — St. Patrick Parish in Anchorage
St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, a vibrant family of faith at the foot of the Chugach Mountains in Anchorage, Alaska, has an immediate opening for a full-time Youth and Young Adult Minister. Candidates should have a heart on fire for Jesus and His Church as well as excellent oral and written communication skills including social media and current technology. Excellent planning skills and proven ability to recruit, train, motivate, support and volunteers are a must. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Youth Ministry, Religious Studies, Pastoral Theology or related field; may be substituted with career experience in a related field. Three years of experience in a parochial environment, either as a staff member or volunteer, is preferred. A willingness and ability to live in a sub-arctic climate is essential. Director of Catechetical Ministries — St. Patrick Parish in Anchorage
St. Patrick’s Parish, a friendly Catholic community of 850 families at the foot of the Chugach Mountains in Anchorage, Alaska, is looking for dynamic, qualified applicants for the position of Director of Catechetical Ministries.
Successful applicants must be actively practicing their Catholic Faith, love children and young people, and have a passion for evangelism and outreach, both personally and at the ministry level. A Master’s degree in Catholic Religious Education/Administration, Religious Studies, Pastoral Theology or related field is required; may be substituted with career experience in a related field. At least three years of experience with “whole community catechesis” including elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as parents and senior parish members. Must be able to thrive within a team environment with a demonstrated ability for the recruitment, training, motivation, and recognition of others. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as well as be adept at social media, multimedia, tech, and presentation software and their use in ministry. Familiarity with youth culture and with the trends and issues important to children and young people is a plus. Should have excellent planning and organizing skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple programs with a variety of stakeholders. A willingness and ability to live in a sub-arctic climate is essential.
