Bishop Edward J. Burns gave the closing prayer for the Annual Rally for Life on the Capitol Steps with guest speaker, Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell.

All Souls Day 2011

Bishop Burns celebrated All Souls Day at the Shrine of St. Therese. All of the decease of the diocese who died this past year were remembered in this special celebration.

Dedication of New Shrine Statue

Michelangelo's "Pieta" statue was dedicated by Bishop Burns on August 2, 2011 at the Shrine of St. Therese. About 75 people were in attendance for the event and about 150 came to the picnic that followed, sponsored by the Shrine Board and coordinated by Jeanne Jordan.
